Rhonda Barbee
Rhonda Lynn Barbee, 69, of Centralia, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
Rhonda was born on December 31, 1955 in Christopher, the daughter of Lloyd and Juanita (Hestand) Lane. She married David L. Barbee Sr. on February 14, 1976 in Centralia, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include her sons, David L. Barbee and wife Jennifer of Vienna, and Charles L. Barbee and fiancé Audrey Bryan of Centralia; grandchildren, Kourtney Williams and husband Kaleb, Riley Barbee, Daniel Barbee, Abigail Barbee, Austin Tuey, Colton Goines, and Samuel Goines; a great grandson, Keaton Williams; her two dogs, Chloe and Luka "Bologna Roll"; an aunt, Margie Benjamin of Odin; cousins Darrell Benjamin and wife Amy of Mascoutah, and Michael Benjamin of St. Louis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Juanita; her husband, David Barbee Sr.; a grandson, Jakob Riley Barbee; and a cousin, Glenn Benjamin.
Rhonda was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and crocheting, but most of all she loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.
There will be a visitation held from 4 to 6 p.m. on April 16, 2025 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital and will be received at the funeral home. Online condolences and memories can be left at www.CrouseFH.com.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
