Joyce Veysey
July 2, 1928 - March 21, 2025
Joyce Veysey, 96, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully, March 21, 2025. Joyce was born in Bowdoinham, Maine, July 2, 1928, the daughter of the late Alvah Bugbee Kelley and Beatrice Maude (Allen) Kelley.
Joyce lived in Boynton Beach for the past 8 years, of which the first 5 years she lived with her son, Terrence Veysey and his wife, Jodi (Goldsmith) Veysey. Previously she lived in Bangor, Maine, where she and her predeceased husband, Darrell Tyson Veysey, raised their family. Joyce loved cooking, gardening, sewing, playing piano, playing Yahtzee, and spending time with family.
She is survived by Terrence Veysey and his wife, Jodi Veysey, of Boynton Beach, FL, Danny Veysey of Brewer, ME, Brent Veysey and his wife, Jeannie Bauer, of Brewer, ME, and Scott Veysey and his wife, Julia Kingrey, of Seattle, WA; her grandchildren, Christopher Veysey, Alyssa Dahlberg, Kristen Ockenfels, Rebecca Goldsmith, and Emily (Goldsmith) Peters; great-grandchildren, Andrew Veysey, TJ Kuespert, Miranda Kuespert, Cierra Veysey, Ava Fisher, and Ivy Peters; several great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Norma Berry of Cedartown, GA, and Diane Capen and her husband, Gary Capen, of Gold Canyon, Arizona; her brother, Allen (Punky) Lamoreau of Presque Isle, ME. Joyce was predeceased by her sisters, Jean Deaton and Nina Coffin.
A graveside service for Joyce will be held on April 25 at 10 a.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery, 1048 State St., Bangor, ME 04401. Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
