John Paul Jones ("JP")

John Paul Jones, known to all his friends as "JP," passed away peacefully in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 19, 2026. He was 61 years old.

John was born on July 5, 1964, in Annapolis, Maryland. He graduated from South River High School in Edgewater, Maryland. While still in high school, John started his career with Noland Company in Annapolis. John and his wife Ranee relocated to Las Vegas, NV, in 2006, where John was working for Ferguson Plumbing Supply at the time of his death.

He enjoyed collecting sports cards and other memorabilia and was a lifelong fan of the Washington Commanders and the Boston Red Sox. In fact, John was almost never seen without his Boston Red Sox cap. John also loved visiting Shenandoah National Park in Virginia.

John is survived by his wife Ranee, son Ryan, his wife Amber and their children Makayla and Landon of San Diego, California; son Jeff, his wife Summer of Branson, Missouri; his brother William and his wife Marianne of Seminole, Florida; and his brother Robert and his wife Annette of Palm Coast, Florida. John was a beloved uncle to Robert's son Bobby, his wife Jessica, and their children Adelyn and Gracie, of Ashburn, Virginia.

John was preceded in death by his father, Sylvester, his mother, Helen, and an older brother, Paul.

A private, family memorial service will be held in the near future.
