FRANK MUTO

MUTO
FRANK

Frank Muto, 78, of Allison Park, formerly of Bloomfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Joanne Muto, his grade school sweetheart and the love of his life. Together they built a family grounded in faith, love, hard work, and unwavering devotion.

Frank was the devoted father of Frank (Jennifer) Muto, Michael (Nicole) Muto, and Angela (Tom) Sand; proud "Pappy" of Samantha (Max), Lacey, Michael, Melina, Luke, and Aubree; and was joyfully awaiting the arrival of his first great-grandchild this September.

Born in Lago, Cosenza, Calabria, Italy, Frank immigrated with his family to the United States in 1961 in pursuit of the American dream. Through extraordinary determination and craftsmanship, he built a successful career as a sheet metal worker and founded Frank Custom Stainless. His shop became known not only for exceptional work, but as a place where friends, family, and customers gathered to share stories, laughter, and friendship.

Frank often said his life revolved around three great loves: his family, his food, and his work. Above all, family was his greatest pride. He worked tirelessly to provide for those he loved and found his greatest joy around the dinner table, bringing everyone together with legendary meals—especially his unforgettable meatballs. His strength, generosity, kindness, and deep love for his family will live on in the generations he inspired.

He was the cherished son of the late Fedele and Giovannina Muto; loving brother of Maria Porco and Jack (Marlene) Muto; and is also survived by his nephew, Jack (Joan) Bruni, along with many beloved brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rita Stagno, and his brother, Nicholas Muto.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral and entombment will be private.

His hands built a business, his heart built a family, and his legacy will live on at every table where love is shared.

Plant a tree: How does it work

When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.

An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.

After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.

Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Tree Planting Timeline

Orders placed in:

January - May

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.

June - December

Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
